Jenn Reyes Lay leads group in prayer vigil: "St. Louis: A "Sister" City

Jennifer Reyes Lay, a former Incarnate Word Missionary who ministered in Chimbote, Peru, is the program director for Catholic Action Network:  A Catholic Voice for Peace and Justice, Mobilizing Faith into Action.  The group is based in St. Louis, MO.

On Tuesday, August 7, Jenn led a prayer vigil on the steps of the St. Louis Cathedral Basilica as the LCWR meeting was convening in a downtown hotel.

The focus of the prayer vigil was Gratitude, Courage, and Peace:
*  Gratitude for Catholic Sisters and God's work that they do.
*  Courage for them as they respond to the Vatican at this historical time.
*  Peace for the Sisters in their decision.
*  Peace for the Church in these turbulent times
*  Peace for our world in chaos.

A second prayer vigil will be held on Thursday, August 9, near the arch across from the hotel where LCWR is meeting.  Pat Farrell, OSF, president of LCWR and Janet Mock, CSJ, executive director of LCWR will address the group.
